news sections come from the guardian, which publishes an open api. the hn tab reads the public hacker news api. this site adds nothing to either: no summaries, no ranking tricks, no commentary.
a headline list should load instantly and let you leave. most news sites do the opposite. this one shows thirty headlines, their age, and their source, and gets out of the way.
